Battery Replacement

1. Lit Engine Light

Your check engine light will come on for any number of problems. But if you have recently had work done on your vehicle and you haven’t paid much attention to the battery, chances are the battery is the problem.

2. Swollen Battery Case

When the casing of your battery is bloated or swollen, it could indicate that the fluid within has left its proper containment. It could also mean that the acids and bases in the battery are corrupted and turning into that caustic goo that old batteries sometimes produce. Any time your battery looks deformed in any way, it should be replaced ASAP.

3. Low Battery Fluid Level

Modern automotive batteries rarely need to have their fluid replenished. If the fluid in your battery is low, check below the battery compartment for leaked fluid. Replace the fluid if your battery is the right kind for this type of care. Otherwise, a complete replacement is necessary.

4. Leaking Battery

If you detect the sulphuric smell of rotten eggs coming from your battery or replace it as soon as possible. If you notice any leaks, again, replace it ASAP.

5. Old Battery

If your battery is two years old or older, you should replace it before its old age results in a phone call to a towing company.
